Fallout from Legacy Cup! 2 New Champions, CW Reigns Supreme, & Where Is Rockwell?

The sixth annual PWF Shinya Hashimoto Memorial Legacy Cup was an can't miss event for a reason...well, maybe more than a few reasons!

Firstly, congratulations to the 6th Legacy Cup winner, CW Anderson, who fought through some tough competition, but still came out on top. More on CW's historic win in a bit.

President Bert Foxx shocked the Hubert fans right away, when he announced that Christoph Rockwell had been beaten for the PWF heavyweight championship the night before in Raleigh, NC by Ring Of Honor's Cedric Alexander, but then had to tell the fans that Rockwell had to withdraw from the Legacy Cup due to "transportation problems".

Alexander was an immediate hit with the PWF faithful, defeating Handsome Alex Avgerinos in a great match during the first round of Legacy Cup, then came out later and turned against the fans. Saying that he felt disrespected that they didn't buy enough of his t-shirts and that he is a superstar on broadcast television. Then he introduced his backup, The Monster C and Mad Dog Josh Powers. Something smells fishy here...

Crystal Coast Openweight champion Jo Jo Dancer pulled off one of the biggest wins of his career, defeating former ECW and NWA World champion (plus 5-time PWF heavyweight champion) King Corino in the opener. He then pinned current PWF heavyweight champion, Cedric Alexander in the three-way elimination finals before losing to the eventual winner, CW Anderson. Jo Jo showed the universe that he is ready to take it to the next level.

Jagger, who was supposed to wrestle Christoph Rockwell in round one, ended up wrestling an old foe, Mad Dog Josh Powers. Jagger and Powers clashed in May at PWF "13" and you could tell that the hatred was still there as both men were disqualifed, eliminating both wrestlers from advancing to the semi-final round.

With only three wrestlers available to move to the semi-finals, President Foxx, Senior referee Mike Kehner, Referee James Hunter, and Ricky Landell met with the participants and it was agreed that they would decide the cup in a three-way elimination match.

In one of the best matches of the year, Jo Jo Dancer upset new champion Alexander, but then ate a CW Anderson superkick, allowing Anderson to win it all.

For the third time in three events, the PWF has new tag team champions. F1rst Generation of James Anthony and Victor Andrews regained the titles from Team Fabulous in more controversial fashion to become the 29th champions. After the match, Lance Fontaine showed a lot of hostility and anger toward the referees and President Foxx.

Nitestic Eddie Brown and his Law made their first appearance since Brown was suspended on July 11th for 60 days after re-injuring Bobby Wohlfert. Brown got on the microphone and made a challenge to Jo Jo Dancer and his Crystal Coast Openweight title for October 19. The challenge was later accepted. But Brown seems to be having some issues with one of his deputies, Officer Von Vorse. Originally billed as Officer Force, we have learned that Force is actually German and his given name is Von Vorse and wants to be known as that.

Did you miss the Legacy Cup? Then you do not want to miss the PWF's return to Hubert on Sunday afternoon, October 19, with a 4pm belltime.
