New PWF Jr. Heavyweight Champion Crowned

No one said that being an 18 year old, preparing for college life, while defending the Premier Wrestling Federation Jr. heavyweight title would be easy. In fact, most fans didn't realize that American Tiger was only 18 and on his way to East Stroudsburg University in less than three weeks. He's too proud to make excuses.

After grueling title defenses against Corey Hollis, Tiger came into his V6 title defense confident that he would be taking his title to college with him...then he ran into Chris Cairo.

Cairo, 30, is a ten year veteran of the mat wars and used that experience to capture a pinfall victory over the American Tiger in front of a very enthusiastic crowd in Cicero, IL for the POWW promotion.

"For far too long I've been overlooked, so I took the opportunity to win some outside gold." said the new champion. "I'm not saying it was an easy match, because the kid is really good, but you don't come into my house and think that you are leaving with your title. Its mine now and I welcome anyone to try and get it off me."

It didn't take very long for President Bert Foxx to make this statement:

"We would like to congratulate Mr. Cairo on becoming the seventh PWF Junior heavyweight champion. After reviewing the match on video, Chris Cairo won the title fair and square. He has offered to defend the title anytime and I believe that American Tiger should get the first rematch. I spoke with the POWW promoter late last night and we agreed that Chris Cairo should defend his newly won title against American Tiger tonight in Cicero, IL. If Tiger does not win the title back, expect to see Chris Cairo come down to North Carolina in the near future to defend the title against our strong crew."

So tonight in Cicero, IL, Chris Cairo will make his V1 defense of the PWF Jr. heavyweight title against former champion American Tiger. Belltime is 7:30 and the show is FREE! 4949 Cermak in Cicero, IL
